I got a book on dogs from the library and I found a dog I liked.
I wanted to try animals.

I was inspired by my friend Cecile. She has this
sweater with a cat picture on it. Cecile loves cats she has three right now. It was her dream to have a white
fluffy cat with big blue eyes. I got cat books from the library and drew 10 different cat sketches, then I
choose 1.
I drew it on the canvas. I then painted the eyes and nose.
When I did touch ups on the eyes part of then peeled off so I used a different shade of blue as a fill in. I put blobs
of blue, white, purple paint directly on the canvas and proceeded to paint the face as I mixed the colours directly
on the canvas. I was like a kid playing with the colours and the paint. 2 hours later I was amazed to see this cat, not
at all what I drew but so cute.
This cat looks quite a lot like Cecile's dream cat and
the cat on her sweater, which incidentally, she would have called snowball.

January 2005 I went for a walk in the west end woods I saw 3
snowy owls but no piliated woodpecker. I also went to Algonquin park and did not see any wildlife. I found an article
in the Ottawa Citizen on snowy owl and a picture of piliated woodpecker and an article on it. I saw on across from where
I live and on the bike path at lake lemeay.
