I had been looking at oceans for a while and decided
to try. I started with a mix of cobalt blue and lot
of white and covered the whole canvas. Then drew the rocks and the wave with chalk. Then painted the clouds, then the
ocean far away with bits of ultramarine and hooker green, then the wave with light green and forewave with black, then the
rocks. Did the white lines on forewave.
This took from september to december 2004 to finish.

January 2005 another cold spell here again I used reds and
yellows to create the illusion of warmth.

I started by painting the sky with yellow at center, then ornage and
red around it. The rest of the canvas was covered with patch brushing black. For the trees mix brown with some green and red.
I used the tree color to patch brush the rest of the canvas. Put yellowish white in the centre of the sky. Painting completed
in December 2004.

Linda helped me with this watercolour painting. Started with the
grayish blue in the sky then the mountains the purple (2 shades) brown (3 shades including yellow and orange) the green spiked
up.
